Who Should Attend:
One of the keys to a successful lean transformation, a value-stream map (VSM), is a pen-to-paper representation of every process in the material and information flow along with key performance metrics and other data. Facilitating such an event can be challenging and often takes multiple days. Understanding who needs to be present, what outcomes, how to manage the session, and most importantly communicating why this is being done is a science and an art.
Our day long Value Stream Mapping course will prepare you to run a multi-day, cross-functional, interactive session designed to articulate the current flow of information and materials, an ideal future state, and a plan to achieve the future state.
In addition, participants learn how to create and apply this fundamental and critical tool, practice the Value Stream Mapping cycle in a context applicable to them under the guidance of an experienced Lean Leader. This opportunity will help embed the learning through an experiential activity in a fast-paced environment so you can confidently facilitate such an event at your organization.
