2023 saw several devastating changes, events and wars that continue on, and our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected, however, among the doom and gloom there were some great things we can be happy about.
o 2023 marked the first full year that Earth hosted 8 billion people, and there are more children alive today than ever before in history.
o Interest Rates continued to rise, providing great opportunities for saving in U.S. T-Bills.
o Stock markets improved, providing a positive return of ~24% in the U.S. and ~21% globally.
o The WHO approved a new and affordable malaria vaccine.
o AI and ChatGPT continue to expand and show promise across many domains, however, we need to contain its risks.
The world continues to remain #agile, our economies strong (mostly), and people have a lot to be happy about.
Let’s keep our children in mind throughout the year ahead and work toward a better and more peaceful world.
